Hallo

What Is Pedestal?
The term "Pedestal", so far in the Civil Engineering field is concerned, is a compressive structural member which is provided in between the footing and column, in order to transfer the load uniformly into What is a Pedestal?
In early times, the pedestals were not much in use. It is later found out, when the loads are (dead load & live load) are subjected to the column, the column transfers the loads to the footing. Without a compression member, the loads act in the footing, and not being uniformly spread in the total footing. To reduce this tendency of loads, the pedestal is adopted for the construction of footing & column. Also, pedestals are designed with different types for different applications, such as Adjustable Plastic Pedestal, Paving Pedestal,Pedestal for Decking, etc.
Construction of Pedestal
A pedestal designed for a small load-bearing column has no reinforcements and is less than three times its width in height. It is common to use hollow concrete blocks and fill the hollow place with concrete. However, this is only applicable to small load ranges. However, the construction and design of footbridges for major loads are similar to those of reinforced columns. The pedestals also incorporate reinforcement. However, it only represents 0.15 percent of the cross-sectional area.
Vertical reinforcement, ties, and dowels are necessary for pedestals whose height is more than three times their width. For the column and the pedestal, the mortar is the same. It is theoretically possible to reinforce in the same way as footing, but it is not feasible in practice. A pedestal should have a larger area of contact with a column than its height to prevent bending and shearing.
To finish a great pedestal, a Tile Leveler is also indispensible.
Tile leveling systems are a very common on-site tool that is designed for levelling and preventing the creation of lippage during tile installations. They help to interlock the tiles, ensuring that the tiles remain level once laid, and you achieve a smooth and flat surface while the adhesive dries. The levelling system helps to lower the tile that sits higher, until it is level with the adjacent tile.
A complete levelling system consists of two or three main components: strips, caps or wedges & pliers. These components are used to help prevent the movement of tiles when setting, to leave you with a level surface. Excepet for these, Tile Leveling Clips, Tile Leveling Wedges and Contour Gauge are needed as well.
Once the adhesive has dried and you are ready to remove the strips, simply remove using a rubber mallet, to knock the strips & caps out of the grout line. Make sure to knock your clips in the same direction as grout joint to achieve the best break and have no parts of the clip remaining. Remember Levelling systems are designed to help level the tiles and not space them. We recommend also using slightly larger spacers than the clips in the corners of the tiles.

Nowadays, Titanium and Zirconium seem to be the most widely used metals in the industory and daily products.
Titanium is as strong as steel but much less dense. It is therefore important as an alloying agent with many metals including aluminium, molybdenum and iron. These alloys are mainly used in aircraft, spacecraft and missiles because of their low density and ability to withstand extremes of temperature. They are also used in golf clubs, laptops, bicycles and crutches.
Power plant condensers use titanium pipes because of their resistance to corrosion. Because titanium has excellent resistance to corrosion in seawater, it is used in desalination plants and to protect the hulls of ships, submarines and other structures exposed to seawater.
Titanium metal connects well with bone, so it has found surgical applications such as in joint replacements (especially hip joints) and tooth implants.
The largest use of titanium is in the form of titanium(IV) oxide. It is extensively used as a pigment in house paint, artists' paint, plastics, enamels and paper. It is a bright white pigment with excellent covering power. It is also a good reflector of infrared radiation and so is used in solar observatories where heat causes poor visibility.
Titanium(IV) oxide is used in sunscreens because it prevents UV light from reaching the skin. Nanoparticles of titanium(IV) oxide appear invisible when applied to the skin.
Besides, there are many other Titanium Products like Titanium Plate and Titanium Forgings.
Furthermore, Zirconium does not absorb neutrons, making it an ideal material for use in nuclear power stations. More than 90% of zirconium is used in this way. Nuclear reactors can have more than 100,000 metres of zirconium alloy tubing. With niobium, zirconium is superconductive at low temperatures and is used to make superconducting magnets.
Zirconium metal is protected by a thin oxide layer making it exceptionally resistant to corrosion by acids, alkalis and seawater. For this reason it is extensively used by the chemical industry.
Zirconium(IV) oxide is used in ultra-strong ceramics. It is used to make crucibles that will withstand heat-shock, furnace linings, foundry bricks, abrasives and by the glass and ceramics industries. It is so strong that even scissors and knives can be made from it. It is also used in cosmetics, antiperspirants, food packaging and to make microwave filters.
Zircon is a natural semi-precious gemstone found in a variety of colours. The most desirable have a golden hue. The element was first discovered in this form, resulting in its name. Cubic zirconia (zirconium oxide) is a synthetic gemstone. The colourless stones, when cut, resemble diamonds.
Zircon mixed with vanadium or praseodymium makes blue and yellow pigments for glazing pottery.
For Zirconium Products, it seems more than Titanium. Products like Zirconium Bar, Zirconium Plate, Zirconium Tube, Zirconium Screws, Zirconium Target and Zirconium Pellet are all widely used.

We all know that there are lots of fabric used in our daily clothes or furniture, etc. And a new kind of fabric nowadays are more and more popular. That is Double Brush Fabric.
What is Double Brushed Poly Fabric?
Double brushed polyester knit is a fashion apparel fabric that has 4 way stretch made from polyester and spandex blend. This fabric has undergone treatment which brushes the surface of the fabric giving it the look of suede and is commonly available in single or double brushed. It is soft to touch (some would refer to it as being buttery or soft like a peach) and made famous by LuLaRoe as it is the base fabric for most of their garments.
Fabric has fantastic colour fastness and washes well time and time agai however, being polyester it isn't environmentally friendly. Fabric has a floaty drape and doesn't require ironing, it can be used as a base fabric for most apparel patterns that asks for stretch knits. There's an array of solid colours and prints available in the marketplace, in Australia we are slowly "warming" up to the idea of double brushed polyester and as it gets popular you may start seeing a variety of solids and prints being stocked at your local fabric shop.
Another well used fabric is scuba fabric.
What is scuba fabric?
Scuba fabric is a type of double knit made from polyester and spandex, with a very fine gauge thread, and smooth texture. It's a little springy, very smooth and has a nice drape to it. Scuba fabric should not be confused with neoprene which is a thicker synthetic rubber and fabric hybrid that is more durable, flexible and is often used for wetsuits. You can also buy a fabric called scuba crepe which is a lighter version of scuba, more like a traditional Lycra but with a crepe textured finish. It can be divided into many types like Scuba Knitting Fabric, Scuba Crepe Fabric, etc.
After the war, it was discovered that Neoprene had a variety of uses beyond military equipment. For instance, manufacturers started making wetsuits with this material, and Neoprene became incredibly popular among surfers and scuba divers.
One of the issues with scuba diving at the time was the fact that most other fabrics to make scuba suits were water permeable. Neoprene, however, makes a total water barrier between the skin and the environment surrounding it, which makes it ideally suited for scuba diving gear. While neoprene might be a dream come true for scuba divers, this waterproof feature detracts from its performance in the wider world of apparel. Neoprene isn't breathable at all; any sweat you exude while you're wearing this scuba diving material will stay between your skin and the material until you take the piece of Neoprene clothing off.
This factor makes it so that Neoprene is only truly suited for loose-fitting clothing or clothing that doesn't cover a large portion of the body. While its stretchiness would make it an ideal material for tight-fitting sportswear, its lack of breathability detracts from this benefit significantly.
Except these, many other kinds of fabric are used for different usages, such as Jacquard Fabric, Roma Fabric, Bullet Fabric, Woven Fabric, SPH Fabric, etc.

The Snowboard Cores are the snowboard's engine room. It is where the riding characteristics are created and it's one of the most important areas of the board. It's essentially several laminated strips of wood glued together - from which the rest of the board is built around.
So what separates a good core from a not so good one? And how will it affect your riding?
CORE MATERIALS
Each species of tree has slightly different attributes which engineers take advantage of in order to create responsive and fun boards. Each species' attributes are measured against four factors:
Density - A measure of mass per unit of volume. (the amount of wood packed into 1 square inch)
Burst strength - The pressure at which body will burst. (the force needed to squash a piece of wood from each end till it breaks outwards)
Tensile strength - Measures the force required to pull something such to the point where it breaks
Flex strength –The pressure required to bend a cross-section until it fractures.
Poplar tree
POPLAR AND ASPEN
Both woods are classed as mid-hardness and have almost identical properties. These woods can form the whole Wood Core Skis (usually on beginner to intermediate boards) or the main foundation for higher-spec cores.
Beech tree
BEECH, MAPLE AND ASH
Again, these woods have similar properties and are used to create performance zones within the core. These harder woods are more resistant to compression and are stiffer and heavier. For this reason they are normally only used within strategic areas of the board. Combining the harder woods with a mid-hard wood allows the designer to optimize the performance and weight.
Birch tree
BIRCH
Birch comes from the same family of tree as Beech, but its higher tensile strength combined with the lower density make it ideal for snowboard designers who want to take advantage of its added power without adding too much to the overall weight of the board.
Bamboo tree
BAMBOO
Bamboo has excellent tensile strength that is used it to add pop to a core or even for reinforcing the snowboard's structural layers. Bamboo can grow at the rate of 4 to 5ft per day making it one of the most environmentally sound products available.
Paulownia tree
ABACHI AND BALSA
They are usually combined with harder woods and placed in lower stressed areas of the core as a means of saving weight. Abachi is from the same family as Balsa but has a far higher density. Use of these woods is becoming less common due to the serious environmental impact of Central and South American deforestation.
Paulownia tree
Paulownia
Paulownia is one of the new woods being used in snowboard manufacturing. It has several properties that make it attractive to snowboard designers. The first of these is its combination of lightweight and strength. Weighing not much more than super light Balsa wood Paulownia has a strength rating closer to the traditional woods used in core building.
Different board cores are suitable for different kinds of board like Edge Glued Board, Finger Jointed Board ans so on. They are designed as Surfboard Cores, Skateboard Wood Cores, Surfboard Cores, Wooden Crafts, Solid Wood Beam and Wood Slats as well.

Inflatable pools and floats are typically made of polyvinyl chloride, a widely produced synthetic plastic polymer that has been made softer with the addition of plasticizers like phthalates. This form of polyvinyl chloride is commonly referred to as PVC or vinyl by inflatable pool manufacturers.
A kids pool is a small pool designed for children. It usually measures between three and five feet in diameter and is made of inflatable or hard plastic.
Adult Pools mean no children allowed, and usually no one under 18–21 years in age allowed in the pool area.
Pool Floats is a device used for toddlers or other very young children who are beginning to learn how to swim, or during exercise for therapeutic or training purposes. These devices, which come in many shapes and types, are used to aid them with buoyancy, or for floating on for fun.
Cute Pool Floats are cute devices used for toddlers or other very young children for floating on for fun.
Pool Mats are suitable for use around pools and other water features, which allow water to drain.
Inflatable Pool Lounges have ergonomic headrests with cushioned backrests and ultra-lux deluxe lounge breathable fabric, which surrounds the lounge with coolweave mesh fabric providing supportive balance head-to-toe.
A swim ring is a toroid-shaped (hence the name "ring" or "doughnut") inflatable water toy. The swim ring was derived from the inner tube, the inner, enclosed, inflatable part of older vehicle tires. The inner tube, when inflated, was used as a water toy, and as a floating object to lounge on. The swim ring is not designed to save individuals from drowning.
Baby Swim Pool Floats are inflatable safety seat swimming ring for infants aged 0-24 months.
Kids Swim Rings are toroid-shaped inflatable water toys for kids in the water.
